The rise of coffee as a leisure industry in its own right has seen fierce competition between the big players as they try to build a loyal clientele willing to pay a premium for their favourite brand. UAE petrol retailer Emarat has now entered the fray by creating its own highly successful coffee brand, Café Arabicca. Circle worked with Emarat to create the name, visual identity, interior design and packaging for the new offer. We used a modular approach for the interiors so that it could work both in existing stores and in stand-alone locations − an important factor if the brand was to be franchised. Café Arabicca is now a clear favourite with customers − winning loyal customers for the network and increasing spend per head in the convenience store. Following the success of the venture, Café Arabicca is now being offered as a franchise across the UAE.
